196. Let’s Get Object-Oriented

Intended Audience: Those Interested in Project Implementations

We’ve previously discussed the waterfall model and the rapid prototyping model in the systems development life cycle. Today, we go to the next model on the list, the OOSD which is the object-oriented systems development. We discuss in a high-level overview the definitions of classes, objects, attributes, and interactions as well as go through the basic steps of OOSD:

  1. Investigating how OOSD can address business needs
  2. Determining user requirements
  3. Designing the system
  4. Programming or modifying object modeling
  5. Implementation
  6. Testing
  7. Modifying
  8. Implementation
  9. Regular reviews and modifications
